Reading and linking. Quoting a short passage with attribution, as you would from anything else. Whatever your own jurisdiction allows as fair dealing or fair use applies here as it does anywhere, and nothing on this page is meant to narrow it.
What needs permission
Copying the code, republishing the writing, redistributing the figures, or building something on top of any of it. Write to benjamin.carrel@outlook.com and say what you want to use and what for.
The laboratory
The solvers behind /lab/ are a TypeScript implementation written for this site, and they are what is reserved here.
The methods themselves are not. They are published mathematics, free for anyone to implement, and the papers are listed on Academia, most of them open access. Several of them also have reference implementations of their own, released separately under MIT or GPL-3.0 and linked from the papers. The line is between the mathematics, which is everyone’s, and this code, which is not.
What this notice does not cover
The papers. They live with their publishers and on arXiv under the terms set there, and nothing on this page changes that.
Third-party components that ship with the site, which keep their own licences. KaTeX (MIT) sets the mathematics and provides its fonts; Astro (MIT) builds the pages. Neither carries the notice above, and the stylesheet KaTeX ships is left exactly as it comes.
